Here's the score - We (James Conway, Adam Smith, Neil Chaston and Liqiu Lu) will be buying a banger for under £250 and then 'trying' to drive it around Europe with hundreds of other like-minded mad people. The banger rally starts in northern France, heading south to take in some high Swiss, French and Italian mountain passes. Then on to the French Riviera before finally finishing in the stylish Spanish city of Barcelona.

Our theme is Team America - World Police. Think American eagle on the bonnet, World Police livery on the car, army camo trousers and everything corny about America we can think of.

We now have the car!! It's a Ford Mondeo 1995 (N Reg), 1.8l petrol.
